Spending a couple of weeks in Alberta, exploring the Canadian Rockies is an awesome way to spend your vacation. Despite the wildfires in neighboring British Columbia obscuring some of the beauty of the mountains, the number of exciting views of the azure blue lakes is always beautiful to see. Even the haze from the wildfires results in almost prehistoric looking scenery. The beauty of the Canadian Rockies coupled with the amazing flora and fauna of the wildflowers, chipmunks, deer, big horn sheep and bears (thankfully did not encounter) makes for a nature lover’s dream come true. Canoeing on lake Louise (although pricey) or on any of the amazing lakes and also hiking around the lakes and other mountain paths makes for an active summer vacation. The wildfire haze is just another excuse to return to Alberta when the air is clear. See images in the photo journal.
