Beautiful British Columbia

A week at Sun Peaks resort British Columbia is perfect for the adventure seeker, hiker or family fun seeker in summer. I spent a week there with my adult daughter and we were treated to amazing scenery and also saw a lot of flora and fauna. August is the wildflower season and blooming meadows covering the mountains is a sight to behold. In addition to this we encountered mule deer, gophers, chipmunks and foxes. While on a fly fishing trip at nearby Heffley lake we spotted an eagle chick and an osprey nest. With an alpine village nearby with quaint stores and restaurants it’s the perfect vacation venue. Also located near the Thompson and Okanagan valley vineyards are a short drive away. We visited the farmers market on Sunday and loaded up with fresh fruit and other local delicacies. In addition with local artwork and other impressive items for sale this was a real treat. The scenery is breathtaking to say the least. We stayed at Pinnacle Lodge with a full breakfast and full service afternoon tea. Along with our farmers market finds this was sufficient nourishment to sustain us. One nice dinner at the Mantles restaurant was an awesome way to spend an evening. There’s plenty to do for active vacationers and also can sit back and enjoy the scenery from the balcony with amazing views. See photos attached for awe inspiring scenery.
